COVID-19 Clinic Protocols

As exciting but uncertain as this time is, we are at the beginning of our road back to

As health care providers of essential products and services, both our Vancouver and Ottawa SoleFit locations remain open during current COVID-19 restrictions.

We look forward to welcoming new and existing patients to our clinic, and understand you may have questions and concerns. COVID-19 has certainly caused much uncertainty and confusion.  At SoleFit, our number one priority is the safety of our patients and employees, and as such, we have specific measures in place. The following protocols are currently in place at our clinics, and this page will be updated to reflect any changes moving forward.

SERVICE OFFERINGS

Clinic hours and the number of practitioners available will be limited to maintain social distancing requirements (one patient and one pedorthist).

Telehealth and limited in-clinic appointments will be available at this time.

Patients are asked to use on-line booking to schedule their appointments.

Priority will be given to existing and urgent patients.

PLEASE NOTE:  Reception hours will be limited during this phase.  Please contact us at info@solefit.ca (Ottawa location) or vancouver@solefit.ca (Vancouver location) for any questions about our services or our bookings.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Pedorthists must wear masks at all times in the clinic when seeing patients.

Patients must wear a mask at all times in the clinic.  You can bring your own or disposable masks will be available in the clinic for a small fee.

Please arrive NO MORE THAN 5 minutes prior to your appointment to give us adequate time to clean between patients. You will not be permitted to enter the clinic until your appointment time, Your pedorthist will greet you at the door.

Waiting room seating will not be available and sample products, books, and pamphlets will not be on display.

We do not recommend use of the shared building washroom unless absolutely necessary.  While cleaning has been increased by the superintendent, we can not control who has access during the day and thus cannot guarantee it’s cleanliness.

We will be conducting enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols as per Public Health and the Pedorthic Association of Canada’s Covid-19 guidelines.

Hand sanitizer will be available for use in the clinic at all times.

We will not be accepting cash payments at this time.  Tap, e-transfer, or online payment options will be available.

PREPARING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

Please complete the on-line intake and/or questionnaire forms prior to your appointment.  These will be sent to you via e-mail once you have booked your appointment through our on-line booking system.

You will be asked to sign an intake form indicating that you are in good health and have not travelled outside of Canada within the previous 14 days.  Patients who cannot sign off on the form must reschedule their appointment.

At this time we will be waiving our normal cancellation policy to encourage patients to cancel if they are not feeling well.

If your appointment will be via Telehealth, please test your computer set-up prior to your appointment.  Your booking confirmation e-mail will have details about how to do this.

Please bring shorts, shoes, and any other items necessary for your appointment as we will not have spare items to loan due to safety concerns.

We hope that the above measures reassure you that we are taking every step to ensure your safety and the safety of our staff.  Please let us know via e-mail if you have any specific concerns that have not been addressed.  We would be happy to provide more detail or provide alternate options for you as long as they comply with our safety guidelines. Thank you for choosing SoleFit and we look forward to helping you!
