If orthotics are necessary, we
ensure that custom is truly custom
Non weight bearing cast
If possible, we always do non weight bearing plaster casts to ensure full correction.
Plaster positive is made
Once we have the corrected negative cast, it is filled with plaster to give us a positive cast to make the orthotics with.

We have over 10 different shell materials to choose from depending on needs.
Grinding shell to fit footwear
Critical that orthotics fit properly in whatever footwear you're wearing. That's why they're custom!

TREATING YOUR INJURIES HOLISTICALLY
Custom made orthotics can make a huge difference when necessary. We also take great pride in ensuring that we educate the patient in understanding the role orthotics play in the overall fixing of the injury/problem. Orthotics can occasionally be a lifetime necessity but are often only necessary as a treatment tool if necessary steps are being taken to fix the true source of the injury. Our 1 hour assessment gives us time to properly assess and make recommendations as to how orthotics can be used as part of a treatment plan.
At SoleFit Ottawa and Vancouver, we cringe at the idea of a custom orthotic not being worn because it doesn’t fit in your footwear. If foot orthotics are necessary, it is imperative that they fit in the shoes that are giving you the most difficulties. Footwear information and selection is a major part of our assessment process but we realize that you’re not always going to be wearing the most ideal shoes. We have over 10 different shell materials and over 40 different orthotic top cover materials to ensure the orthotics fit seamlessly into your lifestyle. At SoleFit, custom truly means custom!
